I thought, since I'll be using this blog as my one stop shopping source, that I'd repost a few of my "oldie but goodie" posts that have been floating around the interwebs for who knows exactly how long... here is a recent one regarding my book Phoenix Rising (Maggie Henning & The Realm: book one)
How about we start with some updates, shall we? Phoenix Rising launched on July 19th in eBook format and is now also available in paperback! When the story came to mind a few years ago, it began with one little sentence... as many of mine tend to do. Now, to see it our there, to hop over to Google and type in the words "Phoenix Rising" and see my story come up... just wow.
Thus far, the reviews have been pretty good, too. I peeked at them and cried... because honestly, as an author, to look at a review where a person you don't know, have never meant... to see that they have fallen in love with your story & have become emotionally invested in your characters... I guess the best analogy I can use is one like this- I'm a Mom... the kind things written in reviews of PR is a similar feeling to watching my child do a great job and have strangers clapping and cheering. I cannot put into words how humbling and flattering it is to see that folks enjoy my story.
I am just days away from the beginning of my first Blog Tour, too. The fantastic folks at TEMPTING BLOG TOURS have been so great in orchestrating this and helmed by the talented Jennifer Malone Wright, who has been such a wonderful source of information to me. I look forward to this tour. I'm nervous, I'll admit it!
